LOCAL TEEN ARRESTED IN BB GUN SHOOTING
A 13-year old from Brenham faces charges after allegedly firing a BB gun at two other teens, Wednesday evening.
Brenham Police were called out just after 7:30 to Wehmeyer Mobile Home Park in the 2000 block of FM 389.
According Sgt. Steven Eilert, he met with 13-year old, who he says intentionally shot at two other teen-age boys—a 14-year old and a 16-yr. old, wounding both.
The 13 year old was arrested and later released to his parents custody.

One suspects their may be additional information about this case that is not mentioned in the story above. Why was he shooting at them, was he being bullied or threatened? It would be interesting to hear the rest of the story!
Even if the teen was being bullied, he chose to break the law and now he becomes
the bad guy! If bullying was an issue, then the young man and his parent(s) should have dealt with
it in a different way. The other boys may or may not bully again, but shooting them
only means he stooped to their level and it gives the bullies even more fuel for their inappropriate behaviors! Blaming others for poor choices won’t remove the wrongness and guilt of his actions.
It just makes it worse for him.

I know a family who has gone multiple times to the school to make a report and nothing has been done!! The child has said the teachers even see what’s happening and still nothing happens or has changed.
