Members of the Washington County Farm Bureau were represented at the 2018 Texas Farm Bureau Summer Leadership Conference held in Horseshoe Bay.

Around 500 county leaders from across Texas received information on areas of importance in the agriculture industry.

Topics included regulatory issues, political and youth advocacy, 4-H and FFA, feral hog control, the beef check off, and eminent domain reform for 2019.  Members also received a 2018 Farm Bill update.

Farm Bureau President Larry Winkelmann participated in a three member forum on political advocacy.  Representing Washington County was Winkelmann, wife Donna, and directors Russell Borgstedte and Linda Oberhoff.
