MIKE COLLIER HOSTING TOWN HALL AT BLINN SATURDAY

  

Democratic candidate for state Lieutenant Governor Mike Collier will be visiting Brenham tomorrow (Saturday) to host a town hall meeting.

Collier will be speaking at the Blinn College Student Center Banquet Hall, tomorrow from 10 to 11:30 a.m.  His topics of discussion revolve around public education, school funding, and property taxes.

Collier shared several of his opinions and proposals, many of which he plans to discuss at the town hall tomorrow.

Question: How do you plan to address school funding without affecting property taxes?

Question: How would you say your financial background prepares you for office?

Question: You've talked about creating an Audit, Performance, and Integrity Commission.  How would it work, and how would you keep it independent?

Question: You've mentioned campaign finance reform as a priority.  How would you want things that are currently done in campaigns, to change?

Question: Feeding into that point, you've also talked about corruption in politics.  How would you address that?

Question: If you are elected, how do you plan to deal with any potential issues in legislature when you meet in January?
