TWO SENTENCED TO PRISON ON FELONY CHARGES
A Brenham man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty Child Sexual Assault charges Monday in 21st District Court.
59-year old John David Tomczak of Brenham pleaded guilty to a trio of charges including: two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child—Sexual Contact.
Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child is a First Degree Felony and Indecency with a Child—Sexual Contact is a Second Degree Felony.
Tomczak was sentenced to 20 years in prison on each of the three charges.
He was originally arrested back in July of last year.

Also sentenced in District Court was 20-year old Cornelius Latherio Beroid, Jr. of Somerville.
Beriod was charged along with a 14-year old accomplice of robbing a Caldwell man at gunpoint on FM-390 in Washington County back on July 3rd of this year.
The victim says the pair pulled the trigger on the gun, but it would not fire.
Beroid was sentenced to 10 years on a First Degree Felony charge of Aggravated Robbery.
He is also a suspect in the burglary and arson of a longtime Snook convenience store.
