VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION, FIGHTER JET DEDICATION SUNDAY IN BRENHAM

  

This Sunday, there will be a special Veterans Day ceremony being held at Fireman’s Park in Brenham.

The day will start at 7 a.m. at the VFW Post on 1200 East Tom Green Street, with a breakfast for Veterans.  They are invited to bring one guest to the free breakfast.

Beginning at 11 a.m., the Veterans Ceremony will begin at the American Legion Hall in Fireman’s Park.  Washington County Veterans Association President Ben Seeker says the scheduled speaker for Sunday morning should have quite a bit to say.

 

After the ceremony, a barbecue beef and pork lunch will be served at the hall, for $12.  Following that will be the dedication and viewing of the restored F-111 fighter jet at Henderson Park.

 

Admission is free to all activities aside from lunch.

The event is being hosted by the Washington County Veterans Association, American Legion Posts 48, 814, and 242, Brenham Honor Guard, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 139, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7104.
