WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER SEEKING NOMINATIONS FOR MAN, WOMAN OF YEAR

  

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is now taking nominations for this year’s Man and Woman of the Year-Lifetime Achievement Awards.

The Chamber’s long-standing tradition recognizes the achievements of two individuals annually.  The winners are announced at the annual banquet held by the Chamber of Commerce and Brenham Economic Development Foundation.  2017’s award recipients were Dr. Heather Thielemann, Ph.D., and Dr. Donald Draehn, M.D.

The next annual banquet will be held February 5, 2019.  Before the banquet, the immediate past chairman of the Chamber board will bring a committee together, made up of past award winners, to review nominations and vote on this year’s candidates.

The Chamber now has nominations forms available, which include judging criteria.  They can be obtained by contacting the chamber to have a form emailed, or they can be downloaded off of www.BrenhamTexas.com.

Completed nomination forms must be returned to the chamber by 5 p.m. on January 9, 2019.  Winners are only selected from nominations received.  Prior nominations from previous years will be considered if they are resubmitted by the deadline.
