BURTON SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TO CALL MAY ELECTION

  

The Burton School Board will meet Monday to set up May’s elections, its second meeting in a week.

The board will look to call an election on May 4th, for the position of board president, currently held by Demetrius Colvin, and the position held by Jeff Harmel.

In addition, the board will call a special election for the unexpired term of the position last held by Linda Hasten.  Hasten resigned in December from the board, as well as her secretary position.

Ande Bostain currently holds her board position, and will fill it through the election.  Misty Lucherk was nominated to fill the secretary position at the board’s meeting in December.

Also on the agenda is a list of reports from the principal, athletic director, and superintendent.  The board will also view financial reports.

The board will then meet inexecutive session to discuss personnel, and district safety and security.  In addition, it will cover the superintendent’s evaluation, contract, and salary.

The board will meet Monday evening at 6:30 p.m., in the Administration Office on 701 North Railroad Street.
