BURTON MAN CHARGED AFTER LEE CO. GIRL RUNS AWAY
A 42-year old Burton man has been arrested in Lee County, after a 15-year old Lexington girl ran away from home.
Jose Hector Hernandez has been charged with Harboring a Runaway Child, Enticing a Child and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance—methamphetamine.
The girl’s mother notified authorities that her daughter had left home April 14th with a man in a pickup. The girl had run away before, and had tested positive for methamphetamine.
Phone records led authorities to Hernandez, who was found with the girl at his place of employment, a trucking company on County Road 205 in Lee County.
Hernandez remains in custody. His bond on the drug possession charge is $10,000. He is being held without bond on the Harboring and Enticing a Child charges.
