NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT HIGHWAY 290, FM 2679 ACTIVATES TUESDAY
A new traffic signal on Highway 290 on the west side of Brenham is going live next week.
TxDOT says the new signal at Highway 290 and FM 2679 is expected to be activated on Tuesday, June 30th, weather permitting.
The project includes the addition of turn lanes that TxDOT says, combined with the signal, will help reduce congestion and improve safety and traffic flow at the intersection.
Work is contracted to Cornerstone Construction for $1 million.
Drivers are encouraged to pay attention and use caution as traffic adjusts to the change.
