COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

  

Washington County Commissioners will discuss a request from the County Engineer at their meeting Tuesday morning.

The commissioners will discuss the request by the engineer to hire a new Drainage Crew Chief at a salary higher than the standard starting salary—due to the experience of the candidate.

Also on Tuesday’s agenda:

The presentation of a Certificate of Achievement for the county for Excellence in Financial Reporting.  The award, from the Government Finance Officers Association is for the county’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for fiscal 2017.

A request from the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District for increased funding from the county.

And a request for a land division on Wiesepape Road in Precinct One.

County commissioners meet Tuesday at 9:00 at the county courthouse.
