RIBBON CUTTING FOR BLACKWOOD EDUCATIONAL LAND INSTITUTE

  

The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce will be welcoming one of its newest businesses tomorrow (Saturday).

The Chamber will hold a ribbon cutting for the Blackwood Education Land Institute, a nonprofit teaching farm in Waller County.

Guests will be provided a light breakfast during the ribbon cutting, made from ingredients straight from the garden.  There will also be a “Chicken Keeping 101 Class” immediately following the ribbon cutting at 10 a.m.

Chappell Hill Chamber President John Wick said Blackwood has been engaged in the Chappell Hill community, and that he looks forward to learning more about the institute’s programs and activities.

The ribbon cutting will be held at the institute, located at 27144 Rock Island Road in Hempstead, at 9:30 a.m.
