LOCAL POLICE ARREST MAN ON ASSAULT CHARGE

An Austin County man faces charges after his arrest for a July 4th assault in Brenham.
27-year old Carl Williams of Industry was arrested after police were called to an apartment building in the 500 block of Church Street.
According to authorities, an investigation revealed that an altercation took place that turned physical.
Williams was arrested at the scene on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Weapon.
He was taken to the Washington Co. Jail.
