LA GRANGE POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN LOTTERY TICKET THEFT

Police in La Grange are looking for a suspect in a lottery ticket theft early Sunday morning.

According to La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath, a male suspect entered the Stripes convenience store at 2409 West State Highway Business 71, around 5:15 a.m.

According to Gilbreath, while the store clerk was busy in the back of the store, the suspect removed a display case full of Texas Lottery tickets from the counter and left the store.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, wearing a western-style hat and a black t-shirt with a Peter Built tractor truck on the back.

Both La Grange police and the Texas Lottery Commission are investigating the case.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 979-968-8477.
