ZOCHNET NAMED IN TOP 5,000 FASTEST GROWING PRIVATE BUSINESSES IN U.S.

An Internet service provider in Lee County is receiving recognition as one of the nation’s fastest-growing privately owned businesses.

ZochNet in Giddings has been included on Inc. Magazine’s annual list of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies.  ZochNet was listed as No. 2775 on this year’s list.

The company, which calls itself a multi-platform internet service and VoIP phone service provider, cites its three-year revenue growth of 136 percent as the primary reason for its inclusion on the list, which has featured companies like Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, and LinkedIn.

ZochNet founder and CEO Robert Zoch said this is “a remarkable achievement of our successful commitment to deliver high-speed internet to rural counties throughout Texas”.

Back in May, the company announced it had acquired the Brenham-based Texas Broadband, Inc.  Officials said the acquisition would expand the company’s current coverage area with ten more counties, and increase its tower network by over 50 towers.

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring the companies on the list will be held in October in Phoenix, Arizona.  Complete results of the list can be seen at www.inc.com/inc5000.

  1. Texas Broadband Inc. has not sold to Zoch Net. We have agreed to term to sell to Zoch if they can get the funding which has not happened. The Smith family is still running Texas Broadband and if or when Zoch gets their funding for the purchase we will release a statement with Zoch net letting everyone know that the sale has been finalized.
