BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO HEAR LOT WIDTH VARIANCE REQUEST FOR TOWNHOME DEVELOPMENT

The Brenham Board of Adjustment will meet Monday to consider allowing lot width variances for new townhomes.

Jake Carlile of Arete Property Group is looking to replat two undeveloped, unaddressed lots adjacent and east of 1602 Clay Street into five lots for the construction of a 5-unit townhome development.

While each of the five proposed lots meet the minimum lot area and depth requirements, the three interior lots are proposed to have lot widths of 25 feet, which would be below the minimum requirement of 30 feet.

City staff recommends granting the 5-foot lot width variance.

The board will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
