“WALK WITH A DOC” SATURDAY AT BLINN KRUSE CENTER

Baylor Scott and White and the City of Brenham are set to host their next installment of the “Walk with a Doc” program this weekend.

Saturday morning’s walk begins at 9 a.m. at the Kruse Center on the Blinn College campus in Brenham, at 208 Blinn Boulevard.

This month’s topic is “Children’s Health Services” with Dr. Javier Kane, Chief of Pediatrics at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, and Jason Culp, Vice President of Pediatrics.

The two will speak on children’s services and childhood cancer, and will be joined by members of Adam’s Angels Ministry, cancer survivor Allison Schaff, and the family of A’vahlynn Cuellar on their experiences facing childhood cancer.

Dr. Eric Alford, a family physician at Baylor Scott and White – Brenham Clinic, hopes to raise community awareness on childhood cancer and what can be done to fight it.

After the talk, participants will set off on a 30-minute walk where they can continue the conversation and have their health questions answered.  The free event also offers light snacks and healthy fun for the whole family.
