VAN HOOK NAMED TO BASEBALL SCOUTS HALL OF FAME

  

Former Blinn Buccaneer baseball coach and current KWHI broadcaster Kyle Van Hook is being inducted into the Texas Scouts Association Hall of Fame. The

Van Hook, the former head coach at Blinn from 1991-98, is currently a scout in the Cleveland Indians’ organization.  He was formerly with the Seattle Mariners.

Van Hook also served as president of the Texas Scouts Association from 2016 -17, and is the current co-director of the Fallen Scout Golf tournament which raises money for baseball scouts in Texas with financial problems.

Texas Scouts Association is an organization comprised of scouts in Texas from all 30 Major League teams.

The induction ceremony will take place this Saturday at a dinner in Sugar Land.
