4TH SUSPECT SENTENCED IN EMILY HACKER DEATH
Another suspect in the Milam County death of Emily Hacker has been sentenced.
24-year-old Ashley Yvonne Wesson-Zawadzke sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Zawadzke had previously entered a guilty plea on a lesser charge in the case as part of a plea agreement that capped her jail term. In exchange, she cooperated with the investigation.
Zawadzke is the last of 4 suspects to face sentencing in connection to Hacker’s 2017 murder.
Last week 37-year-old John Wayne Stewart was sentenced to 18 years, after cooperating with the investigation and pleading guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for a capped sentence.
Back in August, both 32-year-old Edward Barry of Caldwell and 32-year-old Candice Jones of Rockdale were given 50 years for the 1st degree felony, Murder.
A 5th suspect in the case, 31-year-old Kevin Cormier, is also in custody and is charged with Tampering with Evidence for his alleged role in helping to move Hacker`s body after she had been killed. No trial date has been set for Cormier.
