BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO TWO CALLS MONDAY

  

The Brenham fire department responded to a pair of calls, Monday.

Just before 11:00 a.m. the Brenham and Salem departments responded to the 600 block of FM 109 for a reported car fire.

Fire fighters arrived and found the engine compartment on fire.  The Brenham Department used tank water and a handline to extinguish the fire.

Damage was contained to the engine area only.

Then, just after 5:00 p.m., the Brenham Department responded to the 1200 block of Confedrate Lane for a dumpster fire.

The department arrived to find a medium size dumpster on fire.

They extinguished the fire and damage was to contained only to the dumpster.
