TWO LONE CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES IN LEE CO. NOW RECOVERED

Lee County currently has no active cases of COVID-19.

The Lee County Office of Emergency Management said Wednesday that the county’s only two COVID-19 cases—both of which were confirmed on April 1st—have recovered, and have been released from quarantine.

Giddings Emergency Management Coordinator Spencer Schneider said the recoveries were reported on Monday and Tuesday, and that as of 1 p.m. this (Thursday) afternoon, there were no new cases other than the two patients that were cleared.

According to Schneider, as of this afternoon, 66 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the county, with nine tests performed in the last seven days.  The number reflects all tests performed in the county, not just tests administered to county residents.
