BLINN TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT ON EMPLOYEE PHASE-IN PLAN THIS MONTH, FALL SEMESTER PLANS IN JUNE

  

Blinn College will look to make a pair of announcements in the coming weeks concerning the College’s future as it relates to COVID-19.

Blinn Chancellor Dr. Mary Hensley said in a letter Friday that the College intends to make an announcement on its plans for the phased return of employees to campuses before May 31st.  Plans for the Fall semester will be announced in mid-June.

Employees will continue to work remotely through at least May 31st to ensure the health and safety of the College’s campus communities.

Final exams for the Spring semester begin next week, with the May Minimester starting Friday, May 15th.  All Minimester and Summer semester courses will be offered entirely online.  The grading system changes implemented for the Spring 2020 semester will not apply to any future term, beginning with the May Minimester.

Dr. Hensley thanked the College’s faculty, staff, and students, saying it has been inspirational to see how the College community has “rallied together to support one another throughout this experience”.
