WASHINGTON CO. AT 156 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES AFTER TWO REPORTED WEDNESDAY

  

Two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Wednesday in Washington County, bringing the county’s total case count to 156.

Wednesday’s cases were confirmed in Brenham men, one in his 50s and one in his 80s.  The cases are said to be from the general public, according to the Washington County Joint Information Center (JIC), and are not connected to the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC).  One of the men is hospitalized.

The active case count remains unchanged at 104, as two new recoveries were reported Wednesday.  Thirty-one patients have recovered from the virus.  Seven patients remain hospitalized, while 21 have died from complications caused by COVID-19.

Numbers from the BNRC remain unchanged with 102 total cases, 80 of them active.  Of the county’s 21 COVID-19 related deaths, 19 have been linked to the BNRC.  Three patients from the BNRC have recovered, while one remains hospitalized.

As of Wednesday, according to the JIC, 904 COVID-19 tests have been performed, with 127 of those at the BNRC.
