BURTON ISD DELAYS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION TO JUNE 5TH
Burton ISD has announced a change in schedule for its upcoming high school graduation ceremony.
This year’s class of seniors will now be honored Friday, June 5th at 8 p.m., after initially being scheduled for next Friday, May 22nd. The live ceremony will still be held at Panther Stadium.
Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy previously said graduation may look different from what Burton ISD is accustomed to, but the district still intends to make the ceremony special for seniors.
Last week, Burton High School announced its valedictorian and salutatorian of the graduating class of 27. Cade Weiss was named valedictorian with a grade point average of 4.1306, while Kyndal Coufal was named salutatorian with a 4.1196 GPA.
