NEW BEGINNINGS TO HOST ANNUAL WALK FOR LIFE AUGUST 8

  

New Beginnings Life Ministry in Brenham will host the annual Walk for Life on August 8th.

The fundraiser will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Hohlt Park Amphitheatre and will feature family-oriented fun throughout the walk.

New Beginnings Executive Director Melinda Van Ostrand says this year’s walk will bring participants through a Wizard of Oz-themed route.

 

Adults are also eligible for prizes and will receive entries into a drawing for a $100 gift card to the Texas pottery store, Stuermer Store. Guests can also purchase tickets for a Chick-Fil-A meal served at the event.

Van Ostrand mentioned this year’s fundraiser will look different than previous events, with extra precautions added to protect participants in light of COVID-19.

 

Van Ostrand said that volunteers are welcomed, with help being needed for event set up, event takedown, station design, working the stations, working the drive-through, and meal ticket sales and distribution.

All proceeds will assist New Beginnings in providing services such as medical-grade pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, prenatal and parenting classes, miscarriage support, abortion education, counseling, and other services.
