BELLVILLE’S JAYCI BYLER, ROBBIN RICE CO-RECIPIENTS OF THSRA ALL-AROUND COWGIRL TITLE

  

The title of Texas High School Rodeo Association (THSRA) All-Around Cowgirl now belongs to two competitors from Bellville.

Jayci Byler and Robbin Rice were co-winners of the title after their performance at the THSRA State Finals June 5-13 in Abilene.  The finals featured competitors from each of the THSRA’s ten regions.

With their performances, the two punched their tickets to the National High School Rodeo Finals July 17-23 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.  Byler will participate in Pole Bending, while Rice will compete in Girls Cutting and Reined Cow Horse.

Byler and Rice will be joined at the finals by San Felipe’s Samantha Perko, who will compete alongside Rice in Girls Cutting.

Austin County also had strong performances at the state finals from Bellville’s Blaze Byler in Steer Wrestling and Sealy’s Kera Lamb in Breakaway Roping.
