ONE FLOWN TO HOSPITAL AFTER FRIDAY MORNING ACCIDENT IN BRENHAM

One person was transported by helicopter for injuries after an accident this (Friday) morning in Brenham.

Shortly after 6:45 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the intersection of Blue Bell Road and Tom Green Street for a single-vehicle accident with entrapment.

Units arrived on location to find a single car in the ditch.  The patient was not trapped, so Brenham firefighters helped Washington County EMS with the patient, identified as a 69-year-old woman.

The patient was taken by EMS helicopter to an area hospital in critical condition.

  1. First and foremost prayers go out to the woman and her family.

The fire department helped them…. It’s the fire departments job to be there! The FD should be responding and doing all extrication with all medical personnel ready to immediately treat the patient. If we don’t watch it EMS thinking they are the best is going to get someone very hurt. Also glad to know that wash Co helicopter was able to respond without an emergency landing.
