“DRIVE IT HOME FORE THE KIDS” CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT OCTOBER 9TH AT BRENHAM COUNTRY CLUB

The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County is teeing up for its 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

Presented by Brannon Industrial Group, “Drive it Home Fore the Kids” is set for Friday, October 9th at the Brenham Country Club.  The golf tournament, which raises funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, will feature plenty of golf games and activities beginning with check-in at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon.

Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Stephanie Wehring says one of this year’s additions to the tournament is sure to be a fun draw for participants.

Anyone who gets a hole in one using the golf ball cannon will split a $10,000 prize with the Boys and Girls Club.

Teams of four are $500 and include greens fees, carts, and food and beverages.  Awards will be presented to the first, second and third place teams, along with the players with the longest drive on the ninth hole and closest to the pin on the 14th hole.  Door prizes will also be given away.

Friday is the final day to sign up for the tournament.  For more information, to donate to the club, or to register, visit www.bgc-brenham.org/golf.

KTEX-106 is a proud sponsor of the tournament.  KTEX-106’s Holly Ryder will be at the Brenham Country Club the day of the tournament, broadcasting live from the friendly country cruiser.
