CITY OF BRENHAM TO HOST COMMUNITY PICNIC SUNDAY AT HENDERSON PARK

  

In a year filled with division, the City of Brenham is hoping to bring people together this weekend with a Community Picnic.

The free picnic will be held Sunday at Henderson Park from 4 to 6 p.m.

The idea for the picnic came from Brenham Police Detective Jared Campbell, who said the event will serve as an opportunity for the public to get to know first responders.

 

In addition to fellowship, guests can look forward to hot dogs and refreshments donated by local businesses and residents, along with other activities.

Campbell said the picnic will have the feel of a backyard cook-out with friends and family.

 

Among the agencies that plan to attend include the Brenham Police and Fire Departments, Washington County EMS, and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.  Organizers hope the event will allow for improved communication between the public and law enforcement, leading to a safer community.
