BRENHAM VFW TO LOWER FLAGS FOR PEARL HARBOR REMEMBRANCE DAY
James F. Dillon VFW Post 7104 in Brenham will commemorate the 79th anniversary of Pearl Harbor this (Monday) morning.
The post, located at 1200 East Tom Green Street, will symbolically lower all flags at 7:55 a.m. This is the time in Hawaii that the first Japanese bomb fell on the U.S. naval base on this day in 1941.
The surprise attack on the base resulted in the deaths of over 2,400 U.S. service members and civilians, and prompted the U.S. to enter World War II.
