THE BARNHILL CENTER POSTPONES UPCOMING SHOWS THROUGH MARCH

The Barnhill Center in Brenham has postponed its series of shows scheduled for the first part of next year.

This (Monday) afternoon, The Barnhill Center announced that all shows scheduled through March will be postponed to later dates in 2021 or 2022.

While the venue was able to host two shows in November, officials with The Barnhill Center say with social distancing still being required in early 2021, they cannot continue operating while they cannot sell enough seats to cover costs.

This postponement affects:

  • The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute by Bennie Wheels Saturday, January 9th, now moved to Saturday, October 9th.
  • Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys starring Jason Roberts Saturday, January 30th, moved to Friday, May 28th.
  • J. Thomas, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 13th, now slated for early 2022.
  • The Texas A&M Singing Cadets Thursday, March 4th, moved to early 2022.
  • Riders in the Sky Friday March 19th, pushed back to early 2022.

The Gary Morris Christmas show, which was originally scheduled for Saturday before being postponed prior to this announcement, has been moved to December 3, 2021.

Tickets had not yet gone on sale for the slate of shows planned through March.

The Barnhill Center plans to resume operating in April with its previously announced lineup of shows.
