Residents who are scheduled to receive their next dose on February 17th are reminded by the Washington County Office of Emergency Management to bring a consent form, driver’s license or other form of ID, and the COVID vaccination card that was issued at their first appointment.

An updated consent form is available at www.localevent.info.  Residents who lost or did not receive a vaccination card will still receive their second dose.

Vaccination times will begin at 6 a.m. on the 17th.

Some residents have reported receiving multiple automated calls and texts regarding their second dose on the 17th.  According to the Office of Emergency Management, the original databases may have included duplicates, resulting in people being called twice and given two different arrival times.  Officials say the time of the vaccine slot is of less importance than the day itself, and ask residents to arrive at the first or earliest time provided if they received multiple messages.

The subHUB is warning people that the call to them may be listed as spam on their phone.  Calls may be listed as 979- or 800- on the caller ID.  The subHUB requests that people answer the call anyway, and the caller will immediately identify themselves.  If the call is truly spam, they are asked to hang up.

As of Monday, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), 700 people in Washington County have been fully vaccinated, while 3,275 have received at least one dose.
