RESIDENTS DISPLACED, BUT NO INJURIES AFTER FIRE AT STONE HOLLOW APARTMENTS

No injuries were reported after a fire at a Brenham apartment complex that displaced residents Friday evening.

The Brenham Fire Department was called out shortly after 6:15 p.m. to Building 300 of the Stone Hollow Apartments in the 2400 block of Stone Hollow Drive.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire on the balcony of the first floor and second floor of the structure.

Brenham firefighters established water supply and used hand lines to extinguish the fire.  The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched shortly before 6:45 p.m. to provide additional manpower.

Damage was contained to six of the 16 units in the building.  Two units received heavy fire and smoke damage, while four units had moderate smoke damage.

Brenham Fire Department officials say Faith Mission was contacted for the displaced residents, and all occupants were accounted for.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
