FBI SEARCHING FOR MAN WHO ROBBED BANK IN WEIMAR AFTER THREATENING TO SET OFF BOMB

The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who threatened to set off a bomb while robbing a bank in Colorado County.
On March 30th, shortly after 1:15 p.m., a man officials are calling the “Bank Bomb Bandit” entered Hill Bank & Trust Co. at 201 East Main Street in Weimar, east of Schulenburg.

According to a statement from the FBI, the man approached the counter and demanded money from the teller, while threatening to set off a bomb if the employee did not comply. The FBI says the man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his late 30s to early 50s, approximately 5’6” to 6’0” in height with a medium build, wearing a gray hoodie, black sweatpants, a light gray hat with writing on the front, black shoes with white soles, and a black cloth facemask. He was last seen driving a light gray or silver-colored sedan, headed north on FM 155 towards La Grange.
