BISD BOARD TO DISCUSS SUPERINTENDENT’S APPRAISAL MONDAY

A good portion of Monday’s Brenham ISD trustees meeting is set to take place behind closed doors.

A number of items on the agenda are slated for executive session.

The board is slated to discuss the annual appraisal of Superintendent Dr. Tylor Chaplin.

Trustees will also discuss the possible approval of a principal for the Junior High School, an Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, and the approval of administrative and teacher contracts.

The board will also hear reports on the Brenham ISD sick leave bank, board of trustees continuing education hours, as well as the monthly financial and investment reports.

The board meets Monday night at 6:00 at the Brenham High School.

  1. That lady said they wouldn’t hire her.
Then they said she worked there and left and they wouldn’t hire her back.
    So they did hire her.
    But don’t want her back.
    That’s a whole different situation.

  2. Is the media trying to dissuade the public from attending the board meeting today?
Just to clarify any decisions made in an executive session must be voted on in open meeting. While a portion of the meeting is slated to be behind closed door, it is important to be present for the open meeting sections.
It is still my position to encourage parents, teachers, and the community to attend School Board meetings and be involved. Hold everyone accountable for transparency and be informed.

    1. Ms. Walbeck…do you really the media is trying to keep the public from going to the meetings? Please! My reporter was just stating facts. Most of the meeting will be conducted behind closed doors. Yes, if there is any action they will vote in public. But there will be no public discussion of those issues.

    2. Ms Walbeck You just lost a vote from me, If you cant understand what was so clearly written and Jumped to conclusion on this. It says a lot to me .
