COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS EXPO CENTER REPAIRS, TUESDAY

Washington County Commissioners are expected to approve the remodel of the Washington County Expo annex and event center when they meet Tuesday morning.

The February freeze caused extensive damage to the two buildings, which will require massive repairs before they can be used again.

The court is expected to approve Keese & Associates for architectural serves for the repairs.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the commissioners are expected to:

Award the base and alternates bids of the Old Mill Creek Road project to Larry Young Paving.

Approve a resolution recognizing April as Military Child Month.

Approve the descriptions for an office/event intern and part time maintenance worker posts for the Washington County Expo.

Hear the quarterly economic development services report.

And hear monthly reports from the sheriff’s office, EMS, E911, IT and the veterans service officer.

Commissioners meet Tuesday morning at 9:00 in the meeting room at the Washington County Courthouse.
