GRIMES CO. MAN FLEES OFFICERS, ARRESTED WITH 60 GRAMS OF SUSPECTED METH

A Grimes County man is in custody after officers say he led them on a chase and was in possession of approximately 60 grams of methamphetamine.
Sunday morning, a Grimes County Sheriff’s deputy patrolling County Road 302 near Durango Ranch Road, close to Todd Mission, tried to stop a white Ford Crown Victoria driving above the posted speed limit.
The Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle failed to stop, leading the deputy on a chase that went down County Road 302 to FM 1774.
The suspect then turned onto Loretta Lane off of FM 1774, where he jumped from the vehicle and ran on foot. The suspect was captured after a short foot chase.
A search of the suspect’s vehicle later revealed two baggies containing the suspected methamphetamine.
The driver, 35-year-old Agustin Jaime Molina of Plantersville, was booked into the Grimes County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Evading Arrest or Detention in a Vehicle, and Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot.
