GIDDINGS TO HOST SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION SATURDAY
It will be a fun and history-filled day in Giddings on Saturday, as the city celebrates its 150th anniversary.
Giddings will host its sesquicentennial celebration in and around downtown from 10 to 4 p.m.
Vendors will set up around the Lee County Courthouse Square selling goods, and there will be an arts and crafts fair. At noon, a short program will cover the founding of Giddings and commemorate its 150th year.
Meanwhile, Giddings City Hall will offer a walk of history tours, and the Lee County Museum at the historic Schubert-Fletcher House will have free tours.
The celebration is free and open to the public.
