Teams competed in five different contests at the cook-off, which challenged participants to make the best chili, beans, chef’s choice, margaritas and Bloody Marys.

First place for Bloody Marys was Mary Jo Klecker.  Not Dead Yet took first place in the chef’s choice competition, as well as the hospitality award.

Stacy Saunders won the margarita contest, while Eli Saunders was the winner of the beans competition.  Gail A. took the top prize for chili.

In addition to the cooking contests, guests enjoyed live and silent auctions, a cornhole toss and live music.

The recipients of the Lloyd Saunders Memorial Scholarship were Caleb Fuchs and Alldyn Schroeder.  Proceeds from the cook-off go to the Lloyd Saunders Memorial Scholarship Fund to support youth who participate in the calf scramble at the Washington County Fair.

Event organizers thank all those who came out to the cook-off for their support.  Next year's event is scheduled for October 22, 2022.
