NIGHTTIME PAVING OPERATIONS IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM DELAYED AGAIN TO FEB. 13

The mill and inlay project on Main and Alamo Streets in downtown Brenham has once again been delayed.

TxDOT says due to nighttime temperatures continuing to be unfavorable for road construction, overnight paving operations that were set to begin tomorrow (Sunday) night, after being postponed from January 30th, will now start on Sunday, February 13th.

Once work begins, parking throughout the downtown area will be limited, and TxDOT asks citizens to avoid parking in downtown after 7 p.m. nightly.  Drivers can also expect delays and various lane closures along Business 290 throughout the operation, and should plan for extra travel time or seek other routes.

The project is contracted to Knife River Corporation for $2.7 million.
