NAVASOTA VYING TO BECOME THE STRONGEST TOWN IN THE U.S.

  

The city of Navasota is wanting local residents to show some hometown pride as they take part in the Strongest Town Contest.

The Strongest Town Contest is a celebration of communities that are putting their focus on townmaking practices that build resilience and prosperity.

Navasota is facing Taylor in the opening round of a March Madness style tournament.

Voting from across the United States will get to decide which Texas city will advance to round two. Voting began yesterday (Monday) and will continue until Thursday.

The city of Navasota encourages the community to promote everything they love about their city on social media using the hashtags #StrongestTown and #Navasota Strong2022, and casting their vote on the Strong Towns website.

The winner of the contest will be announced on April 8.

The 2022 Strongest Town champion will be visited by nationally recognized author, engineer, and advocate for strong communities, Chuck Marohn.

The winning city will also be featured prominently on the Strong Towns website with a series of articles outlining their efforts to provide citizens with a good life in a prosperous place.
