The county shared a social media post on Thursday with details from a June 22nd meeting in the area of Chadwick Hogan Road and Jozwiak Road, where plans have been announced to build around 800 single-family homes on over 300 acres.

The county says the meeting was held to hear the concerns of residents, examine the property and surrounding roads, and gather questions before following up with the developer for the purpose of holding a town hall meeting in the coming months.

Those in attendance from the county included Precinct 3 Commissioner and County Judge-elect Kirk Hanath, Precinct 2 Commissioner Candice Bullock, Precinct 2 Commissioner-elect Jim Chisolm, County Engineer Wesley Stolz, Chief of Staff Carrie Marmol and area residents and property owners.

Concerns shared by residents focused on traffic, drainage, water, wastewater, electricity, access, construction impacts, and the proposed density of the development.

The proposed development is still in the feasibility phase, meaning more time is needed to collect data and perform studies.

The county will share details about the town hall meeting once it is scheduled.  It says the developer expects to be prepared for a town hall within the next two to four months.
