BELLVILLE SENDING THREE TENNIS PLAYERS TO STATE MEET

The Bellville High School Brahmanettes will be sending three members of their tennis team to the State Tournament.

Kirby Marik is going to make her first trip to state after capturing the Girls Singles Championship at the Region III Meet in Bryan.  Marik beat players from China Spring, Hudson, Silsbee, and Burnet en route to winning the tournament.

Meanwhile, Ally Okonski and Jordan Schroeder will be making their second straight trip to State after winning the Girls Doubles Championship at Regionals. The Bellville duo had a first round bye before sweeping teams from Silsbee, Burnet, and Center.

The State Tennis Tournament is being held in San Antonio next week.  The Quarterfinals and Semifinals are being held on Tuesday, April 26.  The Finals will be next Wednesday, April 27.
