BURTON LADY PANTHERS CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT WITH VICTORY OVER IOLA
The Burton Lady Panther Softball Team clinched a playoff spot with a 17-1 run rule victory over Iola in game one of their doubleheader last night in Mumford.
Bailey Glaesmann pitched all three innings allowing one hit, two walks, and a run while striking out five. She also helped herself out with the bat by going 2-2 with a single, a double, two walks, two runs scored, and two RBIs.
Michaela Wilke had a three hit game as well for Burton. She hit two singles, a double, drew a walk, scored three runs, and drove in three runs. Allie Biggs and Reagan Roemer also each had two hits for the Panthers.
With the win, the Lady Panthers have clinched the number two seed in their district.

In the second game, Mumford rallied with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Lady Panthers 7-6.
Wilke had a home run and a single. Abigail Lamson had three hits including a double and an RBI. Roemer and Glaesman also added two hits each.
