A Nashville superstar takes the stage tonight (Thursday) at The Barnhill Center in downtown Brenham.
Lorrie Morgan and her band will play some of her hits and other great country music beginning at 7 p.m. Morgan is known as one of the most passionate vocalists of modern times, and her performances express a wide range of emotions from heartache to humor.
Morgan hopes with this show that her music can reach younger audiences and introduce them to some country classics.
Lorrie is the daughter of Country Music Hall of Famer George Morgan. Through her career, she has recorded 15 studio albums and has sold over 6 million records worldwide. Her “Greatest Hits” collection is her fourth Platinum album, and she has three albums that are Gold Record winners. Country fans voted her their TNN Music City News Female Vocalist of the Year in 1994, 1996, 1997 and 1998.
Morgan has recorded in collaboration with her father, Keith Whitley, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Tammy Wynette, The Beach Boys, Dolly Parton, Andy Williams, the New World Philharmonic, and Pam Tillis.
