BRENHAM POLICE ASKING FOR PUBLIC’S HELP REGARDING RUMORS

  

Captain Lloyd Powell with the Brenham Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate the deadly shooting that occurred on Saturday night. 

Powell said that there are a lot of rumors and false information going around on social media that has been mostly posted by kids. He asks that parents not feed into this, or pass it around. The Brenham Police are aware of all the videos.

Secondly, Captain Powell said that if it involves a suspect or person of interest, police ask that you wait to hear from them.

He added that if you didn’t hear it directly from the police, it probably isn’t true.

Finally, Powell explained that Brenham Police are not trying to keep the public in the dark.  He said they are doing a thorough investigation and everything cannot be immediately spoken about. 

Police request those of you that are parents to please speak to your children, and don’t feed into the gossip.
