BLINN STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR PERKINS GRANT FUNDS

  

The Blinn College District is inviting eligible Applied Sciences majors taking Summer 2023 courses to apply for the Carl D. Perkins Basic Grant.

The Perkins Grant is a federally funded program that provides community colleges with resources to enhance and develop programs that serve faculty, staff, and students in career and technical education departments.

To be eligible, students must be an Applied Sciences or Pre-Applied Sciences major, be registered for at least three hours for the summer 2023 semester, be enrolled in at least one Applied Sciences degree or certificate plan, have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, have a valid current Blinn student e-mail address, and fit into one of the special population categories listed at www.blinn.edu.

Perkins funds can be applied toward textbooks. The on-line application deadline is this Monday, April 10, at 10am.  Students must complete the Perkins assistance application to be eligible for consideration.
