BELLVILLE POLICE SPONSORING LOCAL RESIDENT FOR ACADEMY
The Bellville Police Department is helping a local resident get started on the road to becoming a police officer.
Bellville Police announced on their Facebook page that for the first time ever they will be sponsoring a member of the community to attend the police academy.
Johari Brown, who is a 2016 Bellville High School graduate, was selected after two interview processes by members of the community and their department.
Brown will be attending the Central Texas Police Academy, which is affiliated with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Services.
The Academy begins on April 20th, with a graduation date on August 31st.
Bellville Police said that they are delighted to have Brown join their law enforcement family.
