CHAPPELL HILL VFD HOSTING 19TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL
The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their 19th Annual Festival coming up May 5-6.
The Festival, which includes the BBQ Cookoff and Rib Shootout, will be held at the Chappell Hill Fire Station located at 5295 FM 1155.
Last year’s cookoff featured an event record 70 teams participating.
There also will be a pitch tournament on Friday, May 5th. The entry fee is $20 per team. Participants can sign up that evening at 6pm, with play beginning at 6:30pm.
On Saturday, May 6th, they will have the judging for the cookoff with awards being announced at 4:30pm.
The silent auction also takes place that Saturday with a 4:30pm shutoff time, and then the live auction will get underway at 5pm.
Tickets for a drawing being held at the event are also being sold for a cost of $20 each.
All proceeds from the festival go to benefit the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
