NAVASOTA TO HOLD RIBBON CUTTING FOR NEW DOG PARK APRIL 29

The City of Navasota invites the community to celebrate the opening of a new dog park.

A ribbon cutting will take place on Saturday, April 29th at 10 a.m. at the Navasota Dog Park at August Horst Park, located at 100 Airport Drive.

The city says the new dog park provides additional recreational opportunities and enhanced park features for both pets and residents.

The dog park includes two separate off-leash facilities for large- and small-breed dogs.  There is also new fencing around the dog park perimeter, two benches, two fire hydrants, two dog waste trash cans and a dog-friendly water fountain.

Navasota’s Parks and Recreation Department installed the amenities at the park.  The project was funded via contributions from the Voluntary Park Fund.
