TWO SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT
Two people pleaded guilty and were sentenced last week in 21st District Court before Judge Reva Towslee Corbett.
25-year-old Luis Perez of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years in prison for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Perez pleaded guilty in November 2019 to the offense after being indicted in November 2016. Perez, who was sentenced after a hearing on Friday, was a juvenile at the time of the offense but was certified as an adult by the juvenile court.
47-year-old Arthur Gantt Reliford of Brenham was sentenced to 6 years’ probation for Continuous Violence Against the Family. He must also pay a $2,000 fine and $100 family violence fee, perform 200 hours of community service and complete a batterer’s intervention program.
